Live guitar and DJ: why one person for the whole day

Most weddings hire a ceremony musician and a DJ separately. That means two contracts, two load-ins, and a gap where the ceremony ends and the reception has not started.

With one person, the music never stops: the guitar plays you out of the ceremony and into cocktail hour, and the same person who heard your vows is the one who knows when to play your song at the reception.

How to choose your ceremony songs

Every wedding ceremony needs four pieces of music: the prelude, the processional, your entrance and the recessional. Here is how to choose each one.

  • Prelude: calm and familiar, 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Processional: steady and slow, so nobody rushes.
  • Your entrance: the one that makes people cry. Pick a song that means something to you.
  • Recessional: joyful and fast. This is the celebration.

Any song can be arranged for solo guitar: ask for a custom arrangement.
